Explore the story of our work with Icelandic hemp at 66° North.
CBD Iceland is High Latitude Hemp’s guide to CBD-rich hemp grown in Bolungarvík in Iceland’s Westfjords (Vestfirðir). We cultivate hemp at approximately 66° North and develop Icelandic-grown CBD flower and related hemp products with a focus on controlled cultivation, plant research and northern growing conditions.
CBD flower grown in Iceland
Our CBD flower is grown indoors in Bolungarvík. Controlled lighting and climate help us manage cultivation throughout Iceland’s changing northern seasons. The flower is hand-trimmed and slowly cold-cured to preserve its natural structure and aroma.

What makes our CBD Icelandic?
High Latitude Hemp is based in Bolungarvík, Vestfirðir. Our CBD-rich hemp is cultivated here in Iceland rather than simply being packaged or branded here. The growing, trimming, curing, plant research and product development are connected to our work in the Westfjords.
Growing hemp this far north creates unusual cultivation questions around seasonal daylight, controlled environments and plant performance. Our research and outdoor trials document some of that work.
